Superintendent, Mr. Dustin Gehring, is happy to announce that Mrs. Charle Hammond has been selected as April’s “Support Staff of the Month.”

Charle has been a paraprofessional at Laurel Elementary School for three years.

Charle was nominated for this honor by a staff member.  When asked why Mrs. Hammond should be considered for this recognition, she responded, “Charle goes above and beyond for the kids in her class. She always jumps in and helps whether it’s in the classroom, riding an extra bus route, or even driving the bus if needed.”

In her free time, Charle loves spending time with her husband Jessi and their four kids. She enjoys going on motorcycle rides with Jessi and watching their kids play sports.

When asked what the best part of her job is, Mrs. Hammond responded, “Watching our students grow throughout the year. They make so many achievements from the beginning to the end of preschool. The smiles on their faces when they learn to write their names is amazing. I am so thankful to work with so many wonderful kids and a wonderful staff!”

The purpose of the “Support Staff of the Month” program is to recognize outstanding Franklin County Community School Corporation Support Staff who demonstrate dedication to his/her job, school, students, and community.
