Mrs. Barbie Tatman - March 2025 Support Staff of the Month

Superintendent, Mr. Dustin Gehring, is excited to announce that Mrs. Barbie Tatman has been selected as March’s “Support Staff of the Month.” 

Barbie is a member of the cafeteria staff at Franklin County High School. Although Mrs. Tatman has only been at Franklin County Community Schools for one year, she has made an incredible impact on so many of our high school students. 

Barbie was nominated for this honor by several staff and administrators. When asked why Mrs. Tatman should be considered for this recognition, they responded, “Barbie is the heart of the school. She always has a smile on her face and the kids absolutely love her! Students are always searching for her in the cafeteria so they can update her about their lives. We even have students asking where she is if she misses a day of work. She attends sporting events and volunteers for many activities just to support the kids. She is one of a kind and I wish we had more like her. She is so deserving of this award.” 

In her free time, Barbie loves spending time with family and friends, attending sporting events, reading, gardening, baking and cooking. 

When asked what the best part of her job is, Mrs. Tatman responded, “The best part of my job is being with the students and staff! I love each and every one of them. They bring so much joy to my day. They fill my heart with so much love and their hugs are the best. My coworkers are the greatest. I look forward to seeing the students and staff everyday and feel truly blessed that I can be a part of such a great family here at Franklin County High School.” 

The purpose of the “Support Staff of the Month” program is to recognize outstanding Franklin County Community School Corporation Support Staff who demonstrate dedication to his/her job, school, students, and community.
