Ms. Jennifer Ison - October 2024 Support Staff of the Month
Superintendent, Mr. Dustin Gehring, is thrilled to announce that Mrs. Jennifer Ison has been selected as October’s “Support Staff of the Month.”
Jennifer is a paraprofessional at Brookville Elementary School and has been a dedicated staff member for 14 years.
Jennifer was nominated for this honor by a staff member. When asked why Mrs. Ison should be considered for this recognition, she responded, “Jen has been a wonderful asset to our building. She is pulled in many directions and is always willing to help whenever and wherever we need her. She supports our students, but most importantly, supports the teachers she is asked to help the most! I know when she shows up in my room, I can count on her to provide extra support with students and other duties without giving her much direction. She is one of the hardest workers I know!”
In her free time, Jennifer loves spending time with her family, which includes her husband, three daughters, one granddaughter, and a grandson on the way.
When asked what the best part of her job is, Mrs. Ison responded, “Working with the students and helping them reach their goals is the best part! I enjoy seeing their excitement when they have succeeded.”
The purpose of the “Support Staff of the Month” program is to recognize outstanding Franklin County Community School Corporation Support Staff who demonstrate dedication to his/her job, school, students, and community. Nomination forms for “Support Staff of the Month” can be found on the school corporation website at https://www.fccsc.k12.in.us/educatorsupportstaffofthemonth.
